In Mississippi, 1/3 of all babies were born to teen moms, and in 2010 the state ranked second for teenage pregnancy rates (New Mexico was first). Not really shocking, considering Mississippi’s laws regarding sex education, which stress abstinence. Teachers are prohibited from “any demonstration of how condoms or other contraceptives are applied.”

However, the law doesn’t say you can’t teach students how to put on a sock, which is exactly what Sanford Johnson, the Deputy Director of Advocacy for Mississippi First, demonstrates in this brilliant video.

I AM CRYING THIS IS AMAZING

This is some of the most subversive sex ed I’ve ever seen.  A++

Brilliant.

always use a sock for shoe activities

ROCK. THE FUCK. OUT. I am always in FULL support of subversive sex ed.

Please, pass this on to Mississippi youth & others who need this information.
